The Ministry of Textiles has jurisdiction for handicrafts, clothing and textile industry. It promotes Indian textile industry at national and international levels. The Ministry of Textiles also formulates plans, policies, regulations, export promotion and development activities. This ministry takes care of textile and its related works in India. National Handlooms and Handicrafts Museum:   

National Handicrafts & Handlooms Museum is located in New Delhi at Pragati Maidan under the control of the Ministry of Textiles. Many handlooms and handicrafts are exhibited in the museum. The museum is well-structured like a village comprising fifteen structures constituting shrines, courtyards and dwellings from different Indian states.
