WHO WORE WHAT?.....66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards: Top 10 Best Dressed!

Last night were the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Lots of top A-list celebs walked the red carpet showing off several Trends of the night, including Ball Gowns, Bright Colors, RED!, Sequined Gowns, Goddess Flowy Dresses, Color Blocking, and so on. There were many ladies who looked great last night so here is my List of the Top Ten Best Dressed of the night--no particular order:

Teyonah Parris in Christian Siriano Resort 2015--One of the bet of the night, Teyonah looked like a Fashion Diva in this creation from Christian Siriano's Resort 2015 collection. I love the super bright colors and the dramatic shape.

Jessica Pare in Lanvin--Jessica Pare wore this black Lanvin dress designed by Alber Elbaz. The dress featured a sequined strapless bustier and side gathered sarong-style skirt. I thought it was very 1950's in its silhouette yet she still looked modern and chic. The severe slicked back hair and THAT necklace were ON-point!

Heidi Klum in Zac Posen Resort 2015-- LOVED this Zac Posen Resort 2015 gown on Heidi Klum. The silk crepe back satin column gown featured a simple silhouette plus that great capelet detail. her hair and makeup were also just right! One of the Best dressed by far!

Halle Berry in Elie Saab Fall 2014--Two words: Halle Berry. Hello!  I thought this was one of the Best "Goddess Flowy" gowns of the night, a lilac colored gown from Lebanese Couturier Elie Saab and his Fall 2014 collection. as we all know Halle won an Oscar years ago wearing Elie Saab and for many that was the first time anyone had heard his name. Smart girl to wear him again!

Lena Headey in Rubin Singer--Modern, directional, elegant and still very "Hollywood Glamour". Loved the asymmetrical details of the neckline and side cascading hem. The texture of the fabric was very interesting as well and read powerfully on stage.

Downton Abbey's Joanne Froggatt in J. Mendel--Grecian Goddess Beautiful. Simple, elegant, Romantic. Designer Gilles Mendel of J. Mendel knows how to do gathered, flowy, Goddess gowns. And this is no exception.

Sarah Paulson in Armani Prive Fall 2014--I know this might be a bit controversial but yes, I actually LIKED this gown. It's Armani Prive--therefore Haute Couture and completely hand-made. But, that's not why I like it, it's a fun, frothy gown that reminds me of a Masked Ball in Madrid.

Michelle Dockery  in Rosie Assoulin--I thought Michelle was one of my Best Dressed of the 2014 Emmy Awards in this ivory, dusty rose, electric blue and green gown from designer Rosie Assoulin. The gown is from her Debut collection of Fall 2014. I love the contrasting colors, the on-trend color blocking and the shape of the inner column gown juxtaposed with architectural cascade sides and back.

Allison Williams in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture Spring 2014--Allison Williams looked like a rich heiress at a paris debutante ball in this Giambattista Valli Haute Couture Spring 2014 creation. Perfection. This, kids, is how you do it, on the red carpet.

Lizzy Caplan in Donna Karan Atelier--Now, this is a gown. If an actress is going to go DRAMATIC, then by all mean, never go 87% , always do it 110%. This halter style black and white gown from Donna Karan Atelier is dramatic but quite simple at the same time. Lizzy's side-parted chignon, simple clutch and minimal jewelry allow that gown to be EVERYTHING.

So, those were my Top Ten Best Dressed but...I decided to add one extra...

Camila Alves in Zuhair Murad Resort 2015--The silhouette, the cut, the gorgeous applique fabrication...Camila in this dress... all adds up to being one of the Most Beautiful Women of the Night, in one of the Most Beautiful Gowns.
